What is Put On BLAST!

Put On BLAST! is AKILA WORKSONGS' free "direct delivery" list serv or email marketing service. We send out messages (or email BLASTS!) to everyone who has an email address in our subscription database. There is no cost to join our database (which we call an eClub).
Put On BLAST! regularly promotes events and news items that are most appreciated by lovers of art, culture, entertainment, and politics. Most of the BLASTS! are East Coast specific, but normally have a national appeal. We house over 8,500 subscribers in our eClub database and that list is growing rapidly. Of that, nearly 700 of them are in the media (print, radio, broadcast, and Internet media). Since 1997, the list has become one of the leading sources of information for people of color who are movers and shakers, progressive, creative, and "in the know!"If you'd like to be a part of this popular network, just click here to subscribe. Be sure to tell us a little about your interests.
Other things we'd like you to know about the service:
- We operate a permission-based list and it is compliant with the CAN-SPAM federal law.
- We do not rent, sell, or loan subscribers' information to any third party.
- Normally, our BLASTS! are posted about five times a week, including some Saturdays. Sometimes, the BLASTS! are posted more frequently if there are special announcements.
- Once joined, you may un-subscribe at any time. Instructions on how to do this are included at the bottom of every BLAST! we send.
- Once you unsubscribe, you cannot re-join the list using that same email address!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Depending upon the kind of service you want, you must allow 7 to 14 calendar days notice. Anything short of that will be charged a 30% RUSH FEE.
